Real Madrid started the league with a 2-1 victory against Almeria. Carlo Ancelotti, however, was not entirely satisfied with the performance of the two young players.
The Italian in the first line-up put on Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga. For the former, it was the official debut in the Spanish league.
Both did not show their best side. Camavinga was replaced at half-time and Tchouameni left the field after an hour.
– Camavinga and Tchouameni did not show the quality they have and that can be seen in training today. It’s normal because they’re still young and Real’s shirt is pregnant Ancelotti said on Movistar.
– We have to pay this price, but we are happy to do it because they are both great players. Camavinga came down during the break because he had a yellow card and we didn’t want to risk- the coach continued.
Real won the match only after experienced midfielders entered. Camavinga and Tchouameni were replaced by Luka Modrić and Casemiro. Toni Kroos, on the other hand, played in number 6 from the first minute.
– Kroos moved into a defensive midfielder position because he is playing great there. He plays differently to Casemiro, but sometimes we can afford to do this. Toni is a great soccer player, so I put him there Ancelotti summed up.
