Coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted in an interview with “Il Messagero” that Real Madrid is his last place of work as a coach.
The 63-year-old was one of the best Italian players in the second half of the last century, and at the end of his professional career he was already determined to stay with football as a coach.
Carlo Ancelotti began his adventure in a new role by being an assistant to the legendary Arrigo Sacchi in the national team, and then independently responsible for the results of a number of European clubs such as Parma, Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, PSG, Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton and Real Madrid .
The experienced coach joined the “Royal” for the second time in July last year (previously he worked in this team in 2013-2015) and he cannot regret the decision he made, because he went down in the history of football as the winner of the championship title in each of the top five leagues European countries and for the fourth time he won the Champions League (twice with Milan and Real Madrid).
Despite so many successes, the 63-year-old is still hungry for more. In achieving them, he will no longer be helped so much by the tactical issues on which he focused on the previous stages of his coaching career.
– 24 titles in my career? The truth is, this number doesn’t bother me. Only after completing my work will it be time to make a summary. Now I am still focused on my daily work at Real Madrid – training, preparing for meetings, talking to players, taking notes and reflecting, ‘said Ancelotti.
– Until a few years ago, I treated technical and tactical issues as a priority, but now I focus more on interpersonal relations, on meeting new people and new generations – added the guardian of “Królewski”.
The Italian also announced that he is slowly ending his adventure with football as a coach, which is to take place when he leaves the ranks of Real Madrid.
– Completing the stage at Real Madrid will be the end of my coaching career. This club is at the top and there is no better place in the world to end this adventure, assured Ancelotti, associated with the Spanish team until June 30, 2024.
