Brighton & Hove Albion is looking for a manager. Two candidates

Brighton & Hove Albion looks for a new manager after Graham Potter left the club for Chelsea.

Graham Potter has led the Brighton & Hove Albion team since 2019. After two seasons ended in the second part of the Premier League, the previous “Mewy” ended their league struggle in ninth place. The team has also started the new games very well and is currently fourth in the table with 13 points.

The Brighton authorities were very pleased with Potter, but they did not prevent him from leaving for Chelsea. According to the provisions in the manager’s contract, a club from the southern part of England earned 23 million euros from him.

Who can succeed the 47-year-old? According to The Telegraph, Kjetil Knutsen and Roberto De Zerbi are on the Brighton authorities’ list.

The 53-year-old Knutsen has been the coach of FK Bodø / Glimt since 2018. He triumphed twice in the Norwegian Ekstraklasa with the team. In the previous season, he reached the quarter-finals of the European Conference League, in which Roma turned out to be better. Currently he is competing in the Europa League.

De Zerbi, 43, is currently unemployed. In the past, the Italian was employed, among others, in Foggia, Palermo, Benevento, Sassuolo and Shakhtar Donetsk, with whom he won the Ukrainian Super Cup.
