Arka Gdynia will have a new coach? This is the lead candidate

Goncalo Feio is a serious candidate for the successor of Ryszard Tarasiewicz in Arka Gdynia – informs Piotr Koźmiński from SportoweFakty.wp.pl.

Arka Gdynia started the season of the first checkered league. In the seven matches so far, the team from the Tri-City recorded three wins, two draws and two defeats, scoring 11 points, which currently gives them the seventh place in the Ekstraklasa backing table. On Sunday, Gdynia lost 1: 2 to Odra Opole.

The departure of Ryszard Tarasiewicz from Arka is not a foregone conclusion, but it is known that the average results of the team thinking about a promotion to the Ekstraklasa may lead to it. According to Piotr Koźmiński, in the event of a potential dismissal of an experienced coach, Goncalo Feio will be the main candidate for his successor.

Until recently, 32-year-old Feio was Marek Papszun’s assistant in Raków Częstochowa. The Portuguese worked there for 2.5 years, having his fingers on the recent successes of the Częstochowa team.

Previously, Feio was employed at Legia Warszawa, where he worked at the academy, and also acted as an analyst. He also collaborated with Kiko Ramírez in Wisła Kraków and AO Xanthi.

Ryszard Tarasiewicz has been the Ark’s trainer since October 2021. Gdynia finished the previous season in third place in the league table and in the play-off semi-finals for promotion to Ekstraklasa.
