There is an agreement between MAN and PKC regarding the employment of 500 redundant employees of MAN Bus Starachowice. This was announced by Katarzyna Michta, from the Internal Communications Department of MAN Bus Starachowice. Below is almost the full text of the announcement of the board of MAN Bus Starachowice.

“The management of MAN Truck & Bus and the manufacturer of cable harnesses, PKC, consulted job offers in Starachowice. The aim is to offer up to 500 newly created jobs to MAN employees affected by the planned restructuring at the PKC plant in Starachowice.

PKC currently manufactures cable harnesses for MAN Truck & Bus at its production facility near MAN’s Polish bus factory in Starachowice.

On November 10, MAN announced that it was reducing production at its plant in Starachowice, as part of a comprehensive restructuring of its bus business, and was reducing 860 jobs.

Talks are currently underway with trade unions in order to jointly find the best solutions for employees and the company. As in the past, MAN is aware of its social responsibility. The company plans, among other things, to offer employees employment in MAN plants – for example, in the Truck Factory in Niepołomice near Kraków, or in the plant in Banovce, Slovakia.
