According to “Bild”, right after the mobilization was announced, Vladimir Putin was to leave Moscow and take refuge in his exceptionally luxurious and closely guarded residence on a lake in the deep forests of the Valdai Mountains.
“According to some Kremlin sources, Putin is staying in this luxurious mansion while Russian men are falling at the front in Ukraine,” according to the German daily.

The president’s villa, called “Putin’s most secret official dacha” and located halfway between Moscow and St. Petersburg, was learned by the world in 2021 thanks to the anti-corruption foundation of Alexei Navalny. As it turns out, the president of Russia has a lot of luxury in it.
There are as many as 80 buildings on the 250-hectare site, including an ice hockey field and as many as 3.5 thousand. sq m of living space. “This is as much as 100 medium-sized 1-bedroom apartments,” reports “Bild”.

Putin’s residence in the Valdai Mountains includes, among others three-story villa with massage and beauty salon, saltwater pool and relaxation pool, own dentist’s office and hair and skin clinic.
“As you can see from the drone shots, the property has many other luxury facilities, such as a horse farm, a golf course, its own restaurant with a cinema, and even a mini casino,” describes the residence “Bild”.
As the independent journalist Farida Rusamova established, citing three sources close to Vladimir Putin, the Russian president was to go to the luxury property on September 21, that is, on the day of the announcement of partial mobilization in Russia.
