A striker determined to leave for Manchester United. He wants to pay compensation to the current club himself
Manchester United are considering signing Wout Weghorst, but his current deal with Besiktas could be a problem. The player himself seems to have an idea to solve the problem.
Weghorst is currently on loan from Burnley to Besiktas. It was supposed to last until the end of the season, but it is not said that the Dutchman will actually represent the Turkish club for the rest of the season.
Manchester United are seriously interested in the striker, but they have to come to an agreement with two clubs – Burnley and Besiktas.
The club from Turkey recently addressed the topic in an official statement.
– The claim that there is a €2.5m release clause in Weghorst’s contract is completely false. Decisions in his case rest solely with Besiktas. We will inform you about further arrangementsh – written.
Now new information on the matter has been provided by journalist Gokhan Dinc, who claims that Weghorst is ready to pay the compensation due to Besiktas out of his own pocket to join the “Red Devils” team.
Weghorst has played 18 matches for Besiktas this season, scoring nine goals.
