On Saturday, August 20, a 40-meter superyacht sank off the coast of southern Italy. The Italian press reported that My Saga sank near the Catanzaro marina. Before the boat disappeared under water, members of the Italian Coast Guard rescued nine people from the sinking vessel.

The scene footage shows a massive boat wobbling in the water and then completely sinking.
Sky News reported that the deteriorating weather conditions prevented the rescue tug from bringing the yacht ashore.
An investigation is underway to find out what caused the sinking of the yacht.

According to the Super Yacht Times, the boat was built in Italy in 2007. At the time of sinking under the Cayman Islands flag, it was sailing with the Italian crew from Gallipoli to Milazzo.
