As we read in “Rzeczpospolita”, in July 2022 the turnover ratio in companies created by the daily amounted to slightly over 20, which is the lowest value in years.
“It still means that during the year, over one fifth of top managers from 42 leading companies under the control of the State Treasury were replaced“- we read.
The most recent change at a high level was the appointment of Paweł Gruza as the president of PKO BP. The former deputy finance minister and the recent vice-president of KGHM replaced Iwona Duda.
How we wrote in Business Insider Polskathe new president of PKO BP was to reconcile the ambitions of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin, who they argued about the casting of this position and wanted “their” man there.
PKO BP is an exception, however. Since the beginning of PiS rule in 2015, the bank has been managed by “only” the fourth person. First, Zbigniew Jagiełło was the president for six years of “good change”, and then a year later, first Jan Emeryk Rościszewski, then Iwona Duda, and now the aforementioned Gruza.
Energa is a record company in this respect. “Since PiS took power in Poland in November 2015, Energa has already replaced the head of the board 11 times (including people temporarily performing these duties),” Rzeczpospolita writes.
